So I'm sure most of you have heard of the term "Potty Mouth", well Shayde has recently contracted "Movie Mouth" when he gets mad or frustrated, or just doesn't know what to say he quotes movies.
Like one day in the car I was singing or something, and he looks at me, shakes his head and says, "Your one sad, strange little man Mom." (Toy Story)
Or when he is in trouble and doesn't like the consequences he glares at me and snarls, "Street Rat!" (Alladin)
Or yesterday when we were at Grandpas and he did something naughty and Grandpa called him on it, he used his most sinister voice, "You leave me no choice." (Bolt) The best part is that he didn't realize he had to follow that threat up with an action, so it was really funny.
Ah yes, it is a sad testament to the fact that we watch too many movies. But I must say I would rather get threatened with funny movie quotes than some other things he could be saying!

RADAR
This is Radar our new kitten. Dave picked him up last weekend to go with our new house. The best thing is he was already potty trained! The kids are having a blast and refuse to let him have one second to himself. He (we're think its a he) loves to hide under the chairs, and recently discovered if he dives really quick he can make it through the hole in the seat of the couch and hide inside the couch.

New House!
If you haven't heard, we are currently under contract for a new Town-Home in Hyrum! We are so excited, and a little terrified, but mostly excited!
We are set to settle on the 20, and close on the 21 of this month. So if you are so inclined feel free to stop by on Saturday the 23rd, I am sure there will be something for you to lift, carry, clean, haul, keep....etc.
Here are some pictures of the house, its a little boring since there is nothing inside, but use your imagination!
Living Room
Kitchen
Master Bath sink area
There are three bedroom upstairs, master bath and closet, and a second full bathroom. the main floor has the living, kitchen, 1/4 bath (sink, toilet), garage, and there is an unfinished basement, we are planning to make another bedroom/office downstairs and a family room and bathroom.

The curse of the "Black Kerr"!
So some may not know, that Shayde was born the day before out first Anniversary. You know, having a baby was wonderful, but spending out first anniversary in the hospital bed with bread sticks from Little Caesars and watching Clueless on the hospital TV wasn't an ideal celebration....
Since i love to celebrate things I have always tried to make our special moments a fun time, after a couple years Dave and I decided to trade off planning Valentines Day and our Anniversary, so we each planned one per year then traded the next year....
Well, since that first year our Anniversary has had a sort of bad luck streak. One year we were home and planned a romantic night in and then we both had the flu or something and were so sick we didn't really even enjoy it. One year Dave;s boss got us a deal at a hotel in Salt Lake s we went down for the night. The kids were going to stay at Dave's sisters house. We were planning to go to Hogal Zoo the next day for Shayde's birthday. That night we ordered room service for dinner and both ended up with food poisioning from the chicken! We were sick all night long and the next day, plus it was raining so we just went home.
This year I was in charge of planning our Anniversary. I was bound and determined that it would be a success with no illness, accidents, or intrerruptions!
I planned for months. It was a secret. Dave didnt know... basically every one else on the planet knew our plans but not Dave. We were going to stay at the Anniversary Inn (where we stayed for our honey moon). I looked at every room trying to decide which would be the best. Dave loves to scuba dive so I looked at the underwater rooms, they weren't that great. Finally I saw the Pirate room! Pirates are on the water, so it was close. Plus it left the field wide open for all kinds of pirate themed activities.
I made pirate outfits.... we did a pirate picture scavenger hunt.... we ate pirate food....we watched pirate movies..... it was awesome!
In the morning we got a phone call from our realtor letting us know a house we were interested in, but had had an offer made on, was on the market again...(my realtor speak is getting better but that still sounded wierd) Anyway. We had to rush down to his office that morning to sign the papers to get our offer in as tehre were several other interested parties...
So although we didnt have a completey un-interrupted weekend I consider the curse broken!

Cake Decorating!
So last year for New Years i wanted to make a cake from scratch. I wanted it to be delicious. I followed the recipe, I even made the frosting from scratch. Low and behold the cake would not come out of the pan, it literally turned into crumbs. I basically had to glue it back together with the frosting, which didn't turn out so good itself! I was so mad by the time I was done I made the following inscription...
Happy FREAKING New Year!!!
So..... one of my Christmas presents last year was a bunch of cake decorating supplies and admission to a Wilton class. I had four classes and it was really fun to learn some of the techniques. I had to decorate a cake for the last three classes so here are the pictures. I was SO sick of cake by the time I got one made that I gave them all away (well except for Shayde's Birthday Cake!)
The Fish cake was a coconut cream filled cake with coconut almond icing.
The Flower Cake was chocolate with a raspberry filling and chocolate icing.
The dinosaur cake was the finale, it was rainbow chip (per Shayde's request with a butter cream icing and a coco crispy volcano! Sorry its sideways o forgot to change it, but there are more pictures and a movie below!
I also made a red velvet cake for Summer's Birthday while she was here, but my mom has the pictures, I'll try and get them later.
